The Crest whitening solution is branded as crest whitestrips. It is a home kit solution. It can provide whiter teeth for $20 and only 5 minutes once a day. There are various different strengths available. Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects, Crest Whitestrips Premium and Crest Whitestrips Classic. For an on the go solution there is Crest Whitestips Advanced Seal which stay more securely on the teeth so that they can be used on the move. Crest Whitestrips Classic is the basic option, while the premium version gives whitening in half the time. Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects gives stronger whitening.
Directions for application
You should always read the instructions which come with the specific tooth whitener first.
- Do not brush teeth just before application of the whitener
- Open the foil container and extra the strips
- Remove the back from the strips
- Place the gel side of the strip onto the upper and lower teeth, making sure that the strip is aligned with the gum line
- Wash hands with soap and water if you have had contact with the gel
- press done to get a firm contact with teeth
- Fold any extra strip behind your tooth
- Keep the strips on for the recommended amount of time for that solution, from 5 to 30 minutes depending on the product.
- Remove the strips and rinse teeth to remove any whitening gel which might still be present
Tips for successful application
- Avoid any contact of gel with the eyes
- If possible avoid contact with the whitening gel on your skin, because this could cause an irritation and also may leave temporary whitening.
- Avoid eating, drinking or sleeping during application of the strip
- Make sure the gel does not contact clothing, or other easily damages surfaces
